Explanation Supposing Books Darkness Breaks (Darkness Falls #2)
Kayla made her choice and now she has to live with it. She stays with the Day Takers, hiding in the city, staking vampires. But fighting vampires as a human is difficult. Sylas constantly pressures Kayla to choose the life of a Day Taker. But until Kayla knows what Monarch is planning, she can’t make her choice. Plus there’s Aiden. No matter how hard she tries, she can’t stop thinking about him. As Kayla’s memories resurface, the pieces of her history unfold. She learns of Cell 7, a place that Kayla believes holds the answers to the creation of the virus. But getting to Cell 7 is a dangerous mission. And with Kayla's strength weakening, it's one mission she might not make it through alive.Rating Epithetical Books Darkness Breaks (Darkness Falls #2)

The action picks up with Kayla having joined the Day Takers, in an attempt to gain access to her missing memories. Becoming more determined by the minute to save the world and return to a pre-virus time, Kayla and Sylas are more in sync and develop a genuine affection for each other, which begs the question of potential romance. Aiden, yet again, becomes a seemingly crucial element to the story, leading Kayla and Sylas straight back to him.Although some answers are revealed, the whole plotThe second book in this series has just as many (if not more) spelling mistakes than the first book, but it still doesnt stop it from being an enjoyable read (albeit a rather short read. Im not sure whether I read in a ridiculously small font on my iPad or if its just a slim novel at 205 pages!). As with the first book, I found that not much happened (except one thing, but I wont speak of it out of fear that someone is going to complain about spoilers) but the story is paced well enough so that
I have the eBook version. Darkness Breaks is the sequel to Darkness Falls. It is different from other vampire books because it is about a world populated with different breeds (which makes a lot of sense) and how some are more intelligent or less affected by weaknesses. The Highers are top of the food chain in the world but fear being toppled by a cure. I like the characters, but it seems like nothing is really happening. This book and the first could really use some editing. More likely then
This book was as good as, if not better than the first and I finished it from cover to finish in one sitting because I couldnt put it down, its been a rollercoaster of a ride and my emotions are all over the place. I was immediately thrown back into the action and questions from the end of the first book were established again within the first few pages, so it was easy to get right back into the heart of the story. Sorensen is an amazing storyteller and her ability to mix glimpses of the past
Wow, I have been on a roller-coaster of a ride with this book, the 2nd in the Darkness Falls Series. It was full of action, suspense and emotions are all over the place. This one really tugs at your heart strings. The relationship with Kayla and Sylas has grown, and some of those walls Sylas has built up have come down. The way he really feels is shown to us, and Kayla. She also gets some important memories back, and a whole new batch of questions arise.Tristen shows up in this one, to kill
I wasn't sure how this book would deliver - whether or not the plot would be as action-packed and addictive as the first book. Luckily for me my doubts were washed away in the flood that is 'Darkness Breaks', as its heroine, Kayla, continues to try and save the world from the vamp disease, the evil dictators that wish to spread it and hopefully able to get her memories back in the process.Sylas. Wow. With bad boy lines, that 'don't-mine'me-i'll-just-stand-here-looking-good' attitude and his
I blew through this entire book in about two hours. And now I see I have to wait until Spring 2013, instead of this fall. *sigh*Anyhoo, this book was action-packed, and didn't drive me crazy with the I'm-telling-you-the-truth, then five seconds later, I-can't-tell-you-the-truth-yet back and forth that the first book did. It starts out making more questions. A lot of them get answered, but not all of them, and still not definitively. In other words, I still can't wait for the next book in the
