Her father is bipolar (my words, not hers) and when the witch finders come from Salem Village to Andover, where the Faulkners live, all are afraid that her father will be called a witch. Great book, had me holding on the whole time!
Very enjoyable. Good insight into Puritan life and the Witch Craze. The story was too short for me, but a good length for a younger reader. I enjoyed the characters and the plot was very good

2.5 stars rounded up. This was a super fast read...historically interesting and such a tragic topic. Whats neat is this is a historical fiction but it is very closely based on the authors ancestors stories during the Witch Trials in 1692. I just had a tough time feeling emotionally vested in the characters in the way I usually do. I will definitely read more books on this topic though.
