Discuss Out Of Books The Prodigal Daughter (Kane & Abel #2)
I've loved Jeffrey Archer ever since I read Kane and Abel. And this book is a sequel to it. If you loved Kane and Abel for the fierceness of the characters, for the love and die-hard hatred they have for each other, The Prodigal Daughter will go on to tell how the qualities of each of those characters were deeply ingrained in their children to reach and achieve great heights in their lives!A totally must-read for people that love fast-paced fiction :)I loved it!

A bit irritating that much of the previous book was repeated at the beginning, obviously setting the scene for readers who missed Kane and Abel. However, I enjoyed the book. Onto the next one in the series!!Hope it doesn't repeat what was in the previous two books.

I love Jeffery Archer books, but I have mixed feelings about The Prodigal Daughter. The first half is typical Archer: I got so immersed in the story that when I finally came up for air, I noticed I had read 200 pages. It's Archer at his best, weaving a family saga made up of rich characters with complicated relationships. It is worth noting that the first half covers much of the same time frame as Kane & Abel (first novel in the trilogy), but from a different perspective and with new

Honestly, I found this in my father's car and only popped in the first tape to have something to listen to on my 20 minutes drive to school. I was surprised to find myself engrossed in the novel about a young girl who was the daughter of a Polish immigrant who build his own American Deam in the form of the Baron hotels. Imagine my surprise in finding out that this was the sequel to another best seller, that I will be sure to pick up as soon as possible. The best part was the main character,

The first half is a recap of the first book, and the second half is Florentyna getting into politics. Plain boring. It could've been good, but Florentyna had more depth as a side character than a main character. That is saying something. At one point Florentyna almost gets raped, smashes a vase over the man's head, her friend comes in and they start talking about hockey...A star for the female president, even though I don't like the way it happened.

Loved Kane and Abel and loved this one as well. After reading some of Jeffrey Archer's book I am his fan already. He is one of the greatest story teller!I am a fan of Kane and Abel, it has taught me a lot about life and thank you Jeffrey Archer for this book, I really felt I was again in the Kane and Abel world :)

A good read. Though I must add that it gets exasperating at times when you take notice of how Florentyna was often defeated in underhanded ways.
